Plextor 8/4/32 as master or slave?

Hey,
I just got my new plextor IDE CD-RW in the mail today and was looking over the installation instructions. It says to make it master and my CDROM my slave. Is this necessary or better? It makes more sense to me to set the Plextor to slave. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I've got mine as the slave to my DVD drive on the secondary IDE controller. It really doesn't matter

I have mine setup like so, with no problems:
Harddrive/Asus 40x
Plextor/Zip

I'm not sure what the general rules are, but I think you want to keep the harddrive by itself on the primary

as long as you got a fast enough system, the IDE Bus configuration won't matter.
