System is in signature.

I upgraded the mobo's bios to 1012-003 which is a beta version. I originally upgraded it to the 1011 final but it was giving me problems. Right now I can't downgrade back to a different bios as I don't have a floppy and am only able to use ASUS Update.

Basically I keep getting errors with my Plextor 716A which was working fine up until I upgraded my bios.

Can anyone tell me how I can go back down to a lower bios without a floppy disk drive?

There is a firmware update for the 716A - it be be required for your BIOS update. BTW - what was not working that caused to to flash your BIOS?

As for no floppy - why not create a bootable CD and put the flashing software on it?

I upgraded my PX708A2 firmware this afternoon (just to see how it went.) No floppy needed. It is a Windows executable. Just run the downloaded firmware file for you model Plex and it should do it AOK. But first, you have to revert to your old working mobo BIOS. Bootable CD or external bootable floppy seem to be the choices.

Nero will let you make a emulated floppy disk using a image (imz) if handy otherwise use a 98 disc and a a disc burned with you bios update stuff.

Edit what is your Burner doing right now, I have a couple of them so an info would be helpful.
