I just upgraded my motherboard and processor to the Epox EP8K7A with a 1400 Athlon ,
which introduced a problem when burning CDs. After the TOC is written, the buffer drops to 1% which
causes the drive to spin down. After a minute or two, the buffer jumps to 100% and the disk proceeds
to completion at 24X. A friend has the same problem with different hardware. This was not a problem
when using my old Epox motherboard with a 700 MHz Duron. All drivers and firmware are current.
Any ideas?
