I am looking for an answer for my Plextor. I have purchased a Plextor, 16/10/40 and I have installed it on my new rig:
1Gig Tbird
KT7A RAID using RAID 0 with 2 IBM 45 GB DeskStars
G 450 Dual Head
Hercules XP
WIN TV PVR
Internal Zip 250
512 MB RAM
Kenwood 72X CD ROM (until Pioneer 115 DVD comes in)
WIN 2K
Here is the dilemma: I have eveything up and running and When I install the Plextor Software, Plextor Manager 2000, I get two yellow exclaimation points under the Device Manager, one for each of the CD drives. I cannot get the drive to work as a CDR/RW. Any suggestions?
Second will the 16/10/40 work with Nero 5 or Nero 5.5? The plextor website does not list it as compatible? I want to use it and ditch the ever controlling Adaptec software that comes with the bundle.
