Hi, I just bought the plextor 12x10x32 burner and I'm trying to burn stuff with it. I burned about 6 data cds using Nero at 12x with no problems. I tried to burn the first cue/bin iso tonight using both Nero and Fireburner and both fails at 12x. They give me a streaming error and lose of cache sync. Has anyone experienced this? Any solutions? I don't want to buy CDR-Win now... One last thing, aspi layers are installed and working. Thanks for any help.

Alright, I had the same problem happen to me when I first used Nero. I got rid of that error by doing the following:

Go to Start---->Settings---->Control Panel---->System

Pick the 'Performance' tab then click on 'File System' under Advanced Settings

Under the 'Hard Disk' tab, change "Typical role of this computer" to Network Server from the pull-down menu.

Click "OK" and reboot like Windows wants you to. Then try burning again. I remember reading somewhere that changing the role of the computer to 'Network Server' increases the amount of files that your computer can handle. Or something like that. I'm no expert, I just know it helped me burn.

Another thing you can try is, defragging the disk/partition you place the bin in. A fragmented file only forces your burning software to lose sync then viola, a new coaster.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

Edit: BTW, you don't need to "buy" CDRWin. ;)

I'm using W2k Professional and the HD is on NTFS. Doesn't have many fragmentations that i see. but burnproof should solve that anyway. I'll try the network thing.
