Plextor 12/10/32a DMA recognized but now back to PIO?!

I have a Plextor 12/10/32a and I recently got it to FINALLY recognize to DMA.

I did the:

1) Upgrade Firmware to 1.08
2) Jumper in the Back
3) SP2 for Win 2k
4) Master on Secondary IDE
5) Updated VIA Chipset drivers (on MSI KT7 Pro2-a)

I did all of this, and it finally recognized as DMA. THE PROBLEM IS i checked the DMA status again last night (like a week after i got it to DMA) and it is BACK to PIO.

Any ideas???

I can't remember where i read it, but in some plex literature, the flat out say that even when using the 2 pin jumper, they do NOT garauntee DMA to work right.
