Plextor 12/10/32 Won't Play Music Cd's With Winamp

I have a problem with my Plextor cdrw playing music cd's if I have the Winamp media player installed. If I uninstall Winamp and put a music cd into the plextor cdrw the cd will autoplay fine. It uses the default Windows Media Player. However, If I install Winamp and put a music cd in my Plextor cdrw the Winamp screen comes up and plays but I can't hear any sound. I can see the time clicking off so I know it is working. I like Winamp and would like to be able to use it with my Plextor cdrw. I am using Window ME. Any ideas?

I had a similar thing happen to me. WinAmp suddenly wasn't playing and the mixer wasn't muted. I rebooted and it was fine and hasn't acted up since. (Note: I'm using the SPDIF line with my TDK.)

Make sure that WinAmp is set up to be the default CD player in Prefs and double-check that the audio channel isn't muted.
