Very seriously considering getting this unit for my cel2/BH6 system o/ced to fsb 112MHz. Any reason to think the Plextor wouldn't like it?

Thanks for the response, but.... does the speed that an ide device is seeing depend on some divider of the FSB, e.g., fsb/? ? If so would that depend on the MB/chip set, in my case a BH6/ 440bx board?

There should be no reason for it not too work at all.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but the FSB will not affect the ide(eide) channel at all.
Depending on what the burner or DVD or any drive for that matter will support (ie: ATA-66) and the motherboard can support it as well the drive will try to send or receive at most 66Mb of data (if ATA-66).

ATA-33 = 33Mb data
ATA-66 = 66Mb data
ATA-100 = 100Mb data

Note - both mobo and drive nust support the same setting to be able to use it.
