Discussion Plex vs Emby

Do you use Plex or Emby ?

Emby has a couple nice features that Plex doesn't have "out of the box", but I like how Plex has a decent basic look (at least on the app side) out of the box. Emby is very drab and would need some additional work to make it look decent. I would rather spend my time using the app, not configuring it.

Yeah I'm a Plex guy too. I know a lot of people pissed and moaned about the new layout but I really didn't notice a difference. Nothing I couldn't adapt to in about an hour.

Don't care about the layout, more annoyed by the browser snowjob. You cannot playback from browser in iphones cuz they seem to have removed a setting and now any browser on apple devices try to direct play everything. That ain't gonna work when you got mkvs. Maybe they just want you to buy the app. This was working since the beginning. Still works on android but who knows if it will go away.
 
Plex because it makes things easy for stupid people. I don't like the UI changes but it's still easy as can be. Plus I had a lifetime plan I grabbed years ago for cheap.
 
Plex untill they canned addons/plugins. Now im using emby, i intend to jump to jellyfin as soon as they get a player out, assuming the development of it continues.
