plex 8432@pio 4---- wtf????

i just bought a brand new abit kt7 raid.for my plextor 8432 cdrw drive,no matter what setting i use in the bios,it still comes up as pio-4?i've flashed to the latest version,still the same?i know for a fact it can use ata/33.my other cd rom(toshiba)comes up as ata/33,why not the plex?latest 4in1,and also tried microsoft drivers.is this the bios or the via chipset

it's probably the firmware of the plex that doesn't support ata33; see if the plex's firmware is flashable, u might be able to update it
