I think considering they're approximately 1/2 efficient, you would need to get significant units (at least 3) and power them with 18a (215w), to barely cool modern 100w CPU.

There's a reason why TECs aren't very popular. They aren't efficient, they aren't cheap, and they aren't reliable.

If you really want to get into sub-ambient temperature cooling, you're better off with a phase change type cooler.

Scrap window AC units aren't very hard or expensive to find.
