OK, I'm taking a page from PBS...

We have ~1600 members. If Bandai is going to drop 1000+ WUs on us a day, then each of us needs to only up our production by one itty bitty WU a day to make his production meaningless.

I pledge to assimilate, at a minimum, one PC that can do at least a pidly WU in the next 24 hrs...

Who's with me?

Give generously and give often.... operators are standing by!

I pledge that I will order a Mobo and a case for a thunderbird 1.0 CPU that I have siting around, not doing anything. I have the HD and memory, just need board and Case/PWS. I also pledge that I will get a PWS for the 1700+ CPU I just got in yesterday to fight with Elano1 that will not run on any of my machines due to the cheap PWS's

<edit>
Genica case with 250 WT PWS ordered from CompGeeks. Still looking for a good cheap Mobo, and 400W PWS
Just got a Socket 7 mobo for a 200 MMX that I had sitting here. Now I just have too figure out the pinouts and were good to go on that one.

Alas, I shall gather finally the lost parts of "broken and refused" left to decay in the garage... should be good for a PII350 w128mb ram... why haven't I already had it up? No monitor, keyboard or mouse, but that may help it crunch seti units faster now that I think about it...:)

:) OH YEAH I almost forgot... I pledge! It should be good for 2 additional units/day so that takes care of me and a person who doesn't read this post... which does not take care of you... I can't let the team down, can you? :)

I pledge to go over to my friends houses by this weekend and install Seti as a service on all their machines.

I pledge to break into houses all over Houston Texas and secretly load Seti on their machines (j/k) ;)

The switchboard is begining to light up with calls from all over the world!

Member's like you make it possible for us to bring you programs such as "The rise and Fall of IBM with your hosts The_One and Darkone", "The IndyJaws daily crop report", "I Engineer", and the comedic genius of Crazee.

But sadly we can't do it without your support.

Won't you pledge just a 486-33?

I pledge to raise my current daily average by 3 WU's. Should be rolling on this by the weekend, as all the machines in my friend's store will be running SETI@Home as a service by then. :)

Great Idea!!!

Hmmm....I've assimilated a Dual Xeon 1000 server and an AMD 1.2TBird since the 1st of the year...I also got my laptop back up and running after a holiday crash (I need to flush that thing though....1.25 WU's per day...better than nothing)...

My Pledge:

Recruit like HELL until we get enough members to overcome anything...and I mean anything! :Q

Looks like I got a little harvest of completed WU's to transmit when I get around to it, since a couple of customers had screwed up settings so WU's no longer transmitted automatically. I will let you know when I dump them. ;)

I pledge to trick my friends into running this. I'll tell them it's free porno and use a program to hide it in the background.

Now the REAL pledge:
I pledge to get my 450mhz running 24/7. My brother is being annoying and turning it off. I'll move the computer into my room then. I was hoping for more noise in addition to my Delta anyways.

I pledge to get off my lazy butt tonight after work and disable ECCp in favor for S@H (at least for now :)). Currently running on my 6 way PPro and TBird 900, it'll also be running on at least the following:

Celeron 633
K6-2 333
K6-2 300

Perhaps also:

P3 600 (laptop)
P200
P75 (laptop)
AMD 486/133 (Unlikely at this point)

I'd also install it on my Mac laptop, but it's not a PowerPC, so I won't be able to :)

I'm pledging my old PIII 500 for the next two weeks, which'll be good for an extra 2 WU/day. Alas, it'll have to be shut down when I go back to school.

I've also just got my T-Bird 1.4 back up and running after it came down with a 24-hour illness. In addition, I'm pledging my Athlon 1.2, which had only been on periodically to be up 24/7 for the next couple weeks while I'm home. That's about 5 WU/day for the 1.4 and 4 WU/day for the 1.2.

I also hope to upgrade to an Athlon XP when prices come down some more and I have more money saved up. Sadly, that probably won't happen until after the race, but it'll still be good for the team in the long run. :)

When I finish the LAN install part of the GUI installer, if it successfully installs on my LAN, I will leave the machines on for the rest of the race...they are doing eccp now. That would add a Dual Duron 800, Dual Celeron 366@550, Celeron 600@901, Celeron ?/548, Athlon 500@700, Pentium 133@166() And when my slocket gets here, it will be another Celeron ?/80?.

I pledge a K6-2 500, A celery 400, and a Pentium 150, effective immediately.

Also, I pledge a Cyrix 5x86 100mhz chip with 16 megs of ram running Redhat 7.0

Hey, if it submits one WU before the end of the race, it's worth it! :D

I will be upgrading this month as well. I used to want to upgrade so I could play the latest PC games to their full potential. Now I can play the latest PC games to their full potential because I upgrade to produce more SETI WU's. ;)

Great news all around... every bit helps.

BTW, I underestimated when I pledged :)

I was able to assimilate 4 Linux workstations (I think they were 733's) and a spare windows box (a 233) I think.

I have a new pledge... got a Dual processor Dell Power Edge and a couple of Power Macs running Linux in my corsshairs. :D
