Our friend Alan Schechner is a drummer & an author of several books on drumming.
His most recent book, THE ART OF TRANSCRIBING, has been nominated by Drum Magazine for a "Drummie" Award. It's the equivalent of the Emmy for movies or the Grammy for musical performance.
If you would like to help Alan by voting for his book, please do the following:
1. Go to drummagazine.com/drummies.
2. At the bottom of every page is the word, SUBMIT. Click on Submit until you reach the page with Category #39. (Category #39 is titled Top Percussion Books. You don't need to vote on anything else, unless there's a category you have an opinion about.)
3. Click on #39.
4. Click on THE ART OF TRANSCRIBING. (Because of the way it's set up by the computer, if you click on Alan's name, it might look like you're voting for his other book. It's important to vote for his most recent title!)
5. Finish voting.
