I got an emcahines computer from Best Buy for christmas, and I turn it on and everything is going well until I try and create a network connection. The Realtek 8139/810x Fast Family Ethernet card is installed and workign properly but for somer reason the computer can't find it when trying to create a network. It syas that it isn't i nstalled. Any help please.
 
That's what you get for buying an emachine.

Is the network cable plugged in? Are you certain the network cable works? What are you plugging into? A router? switch? hub? another computer?

So what EXACTLY does the error say??
