I'm building a new 1 ghz Athlon system w/ MSI K7 Master, voodoo3 2k, maxtor 20gig, philips cdrw.
I just finished putting it together, and I turned it on and it worked. For some reason, my win98 bootup disk didn't work, so I turned off the computer and unplugged the power cable, mouse, keyboard and monitor and plugged them into my old computer to make a new disk.
After doing that, I plugged everything back into my new computer and the thing won't power up at all. There is a -/o switch on the power supply and when I flip that between - and 0, I can hear a faint high pitched noise (meaning that the PS is working???).
This is really pissing me off... Can my mobo be dead? How can I tell?
