I just started and have about 6 hrs play time. I actually haven't even done the first faction mission yet. I've just been doing the gun dealer and assassination missions to unlock and purchase better weapons. I agree with what others have said. This game suffers from weird design issues. Travel is a pain, and the constant running into enemy vehicles traveling is annoying. On the other hand I can see why they added the vehicles and guard posts all over the place, because if they didn't, travel would be even more boring.

And what's up with the mouse lag?! Turning down some graphics options helped with the ingame mouse lag, but the menu lag is horrible ! How can any dev play this game and the first words out of his mouth not be "hmm, maybe we should fix that."

no mouse lag here.

not even in the menus?

nope

No, it doesn't. It's a crap game.
I loved FC1, and didn't care much for Crysis, so I wanted FC2 to make up for it, but it's been a big disappointment. The graphics are nice, that's about it; the AI sucks ass (the worst in any recent FPS), the gameplay is repetitive and boring, and most of the missions are so stupid that it's embarrasing to play the game.

I wasted SG$60 on the game.

I hope someone takes the engine and makes a better game out of it.

Anyway, I am deep into Obliv..er...Fallout3 now, so that ought to keep me occupied for a while :)
