1st off, sli isn't cheap, and those are 7800 gtx cards. thats about 1k or more right there.
i don't know what their supercharged intercooling is, but its probably expensive cooling system.

1) The case is actually gold plated. Click on the nickel case and the price plummets.

2) You are paying for the name. Its the same reason people pay $100 for a $20 pair of blue jeans with a different name stuck on the label.

A fool and his money... Seriously just build it yourself heh. There really isn't much of a benefit for building a cheap rig yourself because Dell can probably make it cheaper, but if you want to customize it, or you want top of the line, you should definitely build it yourself.

LOL it's not even dual core. You could easily get a quad opteron with a terabyte of RAID-5 for that kind of money. Intercooling is what you get on force-fed engines (turbo/supercharger) to cool the intake air stream before the compressor... surely they are not allowed to use this term...

They are "allowed" to use that term...it's not like it's copyrighted...it just doesn't make a bit of sense.

...Unless, of course, they use a massive air compressor, and then put a heat exchanger on it to cool the charged air before using it...but that would be a really stupid cooling system for a computer.

/edit: Holy crap. That original price was with no monitor...no mouse...no kb...onboard audio...

Hmm, I could buy this computer that will be obsolete in 6 months or a brand new vehicle...

I'm not sure about VoodooPC, but Falcon Northwest paints their PC's with an automotive quality clearcoat finish. That's how they can get away with charging what they do for their Mach V systems.
