Please tell me if this is a virus.

I'm pretty scared, and here is the main source of worry:

rdxr020305.dat

The above file persistently recreates itself, even when I try to delete it. I think it spawns everytime I surf the internet/open up IE.

Here are some other details: -

Size: 240 bytes

This probably wont help, but this is what appears when I open the file in Notepad:

 E\GBVGPL8 W(
RTOE]FHPF_]MR $1LGBUEhf
 dFK_[AKFd]DEPAd]DESGdMJCY  \m;W3   LE:
 m

O I  O I  X^ J Y
QI  H
v6#3&267)).tzo    h}

I'm running the Trend Micro On-line Virus checker as I post.

Any ideas? TIA

do you use kazaa or some other such file share program? .dat is the file extension for the current files waiting to be downloaded off of those services, might not be related, just a thought where are you finding this file too btw?
