I have Vista Business, A IDE DVD Drive, a Case, and a PSU. I'll be using a old CRT monitor @ 1280 x 1024, unless I could possible run games on my 1650 x 1050 monitor or a step lower in resolution. I ran Xbox 360 on it and it looked good, I believe it was 1366 x 768. My intentions are to run, COD4, Crysis, Gears of War and stuff like that. I'm not in the loop with specs to games performance. Will it suffice?

Thanks for the ram!

I think you are best holding out until the new 512MB 8800 GTS is out, and then the prices on the 512MB 8800 GT's should come down and the availability up. It should be a $200+ card. Or consider a Radeon 3850, or a 256MB 8800 GT.
