Hi,
I am asking what are the options for overclocking my P4 1.6a with the P4B 533 (not the -e, -v or anything, just 533 and mb claims support for up to pc2100)?? I have read some Corsair XMS 2700 are not compatible with some motherboards, but those are the modules I am targeting for. I would like preferrably a single stick (best for overclocking I read) 512 MB PC2700 DDR RAM to overclock. If there are any instances of this being done, could someone suggest the settings I should use in bios? Originally I tried using Samsung (2 sticks), but they gave me frequent lock-ups anywhere from the defualt 1600 MHz to 2400 Mhz. Please help out. Thanks.

:);)

xms 2700 should be fine, to prevent lock ups just run the memory @ 166 ore less with the advertised timings

Thank you.
On another note, Corsair offers 2 versions of 2700, one being the Low Latency LL the other is the C2 version. Which is better for my computer?

there both the same. there is nothing regular XMS cant do that LL can do. just get the regular stuff as the LL is unjustifiably expensive

well, in my experiance, LL and regular can run at the same timing with XMS pc3200 so i assume the same is true for pc2700
