I'm soon to embark upon the world of Linux but have like NO CLUE.

I searched for 'Linux' on Amazon, but sifting through 3,216 results is just a little bit much.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

There's also "Moving to linux: Kiss The Blue Screen of Death Goodbye" A newer book that helps ease the transition. I haven't read it (I'm well past the newbie phase right now), but I've heard very good things about it.

I second the Running Linux suggestion. Thats one of the books I got started with. Also "A Practical Guide to Linux" is pretty helpful for learning the command line. It's extremely deep, although I dunno how updated it is.
