Please suggest a video card

I have AMD1.2GHz CPU, 256MBDDR SDRAM, Iwill KA266motherboard. I used my old video card (intel740, now Intel discontinued the product).I have IEEE card to download video. I am not a game user, or interested in TV in or out. But will use for Video editing.

I use Windows Me operating system. Soon, I wish to load redhat linux or other UNIX OS.

My old card gives incomparability of drivers. (In case any one has drivers for Me OS for the video card, please provide link). Now, I am looking for really cheap Video card to use for video editing and linux. Please alsosuggest me the good deal.

Look for a Matrox G450 or ATI Radeon LE. Both excellent 2-D cards and not aimed at 'gamers' ... and of course, fairly cheap

ive never tried radeon nor Matrox cards but i hear MATROX cards have the best 2d on the market.

Try a G400 or G450.

Excellent 2D from both, and the G400 at least is very well supported by Xwindows.
