Hi,
I've had a Google G1, a nexus one and a HTC wildfire. I really liked the flip up keyboard from the G1. I would like another android phone with a flip up keyboard like that. My contract ends in February...is there a phone on the horizon that I should look out for? Would also like the processing power of the dual core 1.2 or 1.5Ghz.

Sorry, fixed the typo in the title. Call me obsessive, but I felt like I needed to. :) Moderator PM

mytouch 4g slide has a good keyboard and an excellent camera, also a dual core CPU.

most of the top end hardware is launching without hardware keyboards though.

Looks like exactly what I want... unfortunately for some reason they are not selling it in the UK. I have no idea why. Hopefully that will change between now and February.

doubtful, as the phone has already been out for several months. i don't think anyone is planning to carry it in the UK

Don't think the droid gets sold in the UK either...think my only option is to buy the phone and get a sim only contract.

If you want to ask for phone recommendations you must specify which carrier you intend to go with and which country you are from. The landscape is completely different depending on where you're from.

Aside from the MyTouch 4G Slide and the Droid lineup (only on Verizon in the USA AFAIK), I can't think of any other high-end Android phones with keyboards. It seems like the smartphone world has moved past physical keyboards.

I'm from the England and can go with any carrier here. Sorry for not stating that.

Smartpatrol you seem to be correct... I can't find any high end andriod devices with a keyboard :(

The Droid 3 is called the Milestone 3 abroad. The keyboard is really nice, with 5 rows, arrow keys, and some helpful punctuation without hitting shift or function or whatever.

Droid 4 will probably have non-Pentile LCD and LTE, but with no LTE abroad I don't think this is necessarily worth a wait.

Unfortunately, the Milestone 3 isn't available in the UK, though it might be possible to import it from another country.

chitwood hope that comes to the UK. Would be ideal for me.

S44, Do you have any experience importing phones to the UK? I have never done it before and don't know how to go about it.
