"Rig, noun 2. Any special equipment or gear for a particular purpose"

Yup... bye bye! Don't let the forum door hit ya in the butt.

The term goes way back, probably before your parents were born. It was used always by ham radio operators as a generic term for their collective items of equipment lashed together to do the job. I don't think that has changed much. 🙂

He even quotes his own posts and puts a thumbsup next to them. All he does is troll, start flame wars, and generally piss users off. Permaban already.

Why shouldn't we?

It's shorter than computer, or equipment.

It's even shorter that system or comp.

As long as you get what we're talking about, what's the problem?

Is there something out there that you think is more deserving of the title? So much so that calling a computer (system, comp) by that name is some sort of blasphemy?
