I just bought a new ipod video on the forums here. I've recieved it this week and installed Itunes, but it just dones't want to work. I downloaded from apple.com and it came with quicktime- fine I'll accept that.

I install it and when I try to open Itunes my pc loads for split second and then nothing happens. I tried reinstalling/rebooting and nothing will help.

I then went to my other pc in the house and installed itunes on that pc. When I try opening itunes on that pc it gives me a "you need the new quicktime version in order to run itunes" So i got the new quicktime and it still gives me that error.

If anyone can show me the way I'd be ever so thankfull :)

Thanks guys

My suggestion is either get rid of the iPod or look into some of the other programs (besides iTunes) that will sync music to your device.

Couldnt name any right now, but do a search in the Software section. I know some guys have made suggestions on a few apps. As I understand they are all much better than the iTunes crap.

Said by someone who obviously hasn't used iTunes.

Should you want to use something else, go here:

HEEEEYYY!
Congrats Unkind person!
You were completely wrong.

I DID use iTunes with my crummy little iPod shuffle.
I hated the software and device so much I RMA'd the thing to Newegg the day after I recieved it. I dont like any device that says I NEED to use sync software just to make it work.
Have used a couple of MSI and Creative players and they're all lot easier to use and sound better too.
