I'd argue that Penny Arcade was never funny. XKCD and PBF are the only decent ones out there right now and I can only imagine some of the horrendous crap that will get recommended.

Blastwavecomic.com is good, however because it gets updated like the RIAA's buisness model, you'll finish them in about 10 minutes.

Penny Arcade is usually too particular to the happenings in the gaming world of the past week. But if you're up to speed and know what the hell they're talking about, its usually funny.

Only the first hundred or 2. Then it becomes crap. Everything looks the exact same. (Probably because he barely draws, he has a folder full of eyes and bodies tat he pastes together in photoshop)

Too many words (Entire friggin paragraphs in comics)

Try to stay a gaming comic by referencing games when its really not needed

see sig.

EDIT: Let me specify that Sabrina is more comical story telling in a nerdy life.. Jay Naylor's Better Days and New Worlds is definitely a serious comic with comedic moments. Skip it if you're not really interesting in thick story, incest, or furries..

EDIT 2: Let me also recommend www.snafu-comics.com. Lots of very good, very well drawn comics mostly based on Cartoon Network characters, along with some home-spun ones.

Oh, and VG Cats.
