please save me

that's sad 🙁

:violen;

I'm glad I made the choice to "Just say no to WoW" (I was seriously considering picking up a copy and getting addicted, but I talked myself out of it 🙂)

i just got mine delivered today so i doubt i will be able to help you.

i've put off buying it until this week when it went on sale for $29.99 at ebgames.com.

Look around in WoW. Everyone looks the same. Everyone in your class at your level has the same spells/skills as you. Everyone is doing the same quests. What's the point? There is no skill involved. There's no fun in that. What do you plan to do if you hit lvl 60, if you haven't already. Nothing. You start a new character and do it all over again.

I was already 60, there is still plenty to do, but ultimatly I want to have a life. I can't seem to find that happy balance of "playing in moderation" so quitting seems to be the only alternative.

didn't they just release the battlegrounds which are exclusively pvp?

You can't and you won't stop until you have Grand Marshal pvp ranking, complete tier 2 armor from BWL, and legendary weapon.

I'm trying really hard to quit playing, but I find my life totally empty and boring without WoW.

LOL, I've never understood addiction, heh 🙂 I play WoW maybe 3 times a week for about 2 hours at a time. It's fun when playing with friends! Last night I splurged a bit and spent 4 hours running ST with a group. It was pretty kick ass, I got a nice weapon drop and a little more than 100,000 XP. Not bad for 4 hours 🙂

That's not really true, but keep talking 🙂 I do have a friend who did get to level 60 and then start a new character and do it all again, though. Not me, I'm on character #1 and only, and after 6 months I'm barely level 53, but I've enjoyed most of my time.

It was really worst right after they started the honor system. Every goddamn Alliance high level jerk was riding around the low level horde areas killing us over and over and over again. It sucks to have a group of 5 people, each of them 40 levels higher than you are, spawn camping your corpse. Sucks giant donkey balls.

this is why i will never try or buy this game.

my willpower = :thumbsdown:

i can get addicted to anything, just like these forums.

Not true. WoW is very noob-friendly, that's for sure, but there is still quite a chasm between skilled and unskilled players with the same level/gear.
