Just put together everything. The "boot LED" on the mobo lights up green, the CPU fan spins, the video card fan spins...but no signal on the monitor. I know the monitor/cable are good.

Tried putting my old video card back in. No luck. Any help?

one of the memory sticks was 1-2mm off...that's it...and the mobo didn't like it. What was also nice is that the mobo displays a solid red light next to the mem slots, if the mem is incompatible or incorrectly inserted.

so far so good. all drives recognized. Win 7 64-bit install is in progress. *crossing my fingers* :)

Good to know that you found the ASUS MemOK diagnostic helpful. Sometimes it is just awkward getting RAM fitted properly into new/unused DIMM slots.

k so my machine has four drives. all SATA. One's an SSD and this is the boot drive.

BIOS recognizes all four drives but Windows recognizes only three, the SSD and two other regular drives. It doesn't see the 1TB SATA drive I just bought. Opinions/thoughts/help? :)

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Storage/Disk Management

Make sure your new disk is recognised in the tab. Then create and format partitions as required.
