I have a PC running headless that I want to use to stream media using XBMC. The motherboard is:

MSI K8N Diamond Plus 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD

The CPU is:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 2.0GHz Socket 939 Single-Core Processor

At a minimum, I want to be able to launch movies via Remote Desktop and stream video to a TV. I will not be using it for gaming.

Please recommend a minimum graphics card for this purpose. The GeForce 8400 GS cards are $25-$30 or so. Would that fit the bill?

Get the Radeon 4350. It's only a few bucks more but it's better enough to justify it. It also should use lower power.
