Currently have the Optiplex 990 Mini Tower, business computer with i7 2600 processor and 16 GB RAM DDR 3.

I bought this new system for my business, not gaming but want a better video card. Power supply is only 260 watts and the AMD 1GB 6450 is pretty weak.

I could buy the 6670 AMD but that would not be a big improvement.

I'm thinking of changing the power supply to a Corsair 600 Gold 80 Plus power supply to give more juice for the new card.

What would be some good AMD upgrades to get mid to upper level performance. I don't need the best gaming card but would like a substantial improvement.

I want dual DVI-D ports PLUS Display port. HDM would be helpful but not essential.

My monitor is 2560 by 1440 and want to optimize the colors and text quality plus be able to play videos optimally.

Please recomment some cards and how much of a power supply upgrade would be required. Thanks

Thanks for the welcome and the recommendations. If I wanted to increase the specs of the proposed video card to even a better video card, what card would you advise?

Isn't the 6770 a low power draw card thus the 260 watt meager system should have enough wattage as it now stands?

I had my heart set on a Corsair Gold 80 plus supply due to quality and future expansion. The lowest power supply in Corsair Gold I can find is 600. Is that to much? I definitely want a modular power supply.

Again, thanks for the welcome to the forum.

Some Dell systems are standard size will take standard PSU bolt pattern. The Optiplex has been hit hit/miss over the years. It's been my experience that Dell works from a standard base then upgrades components (single/multi cpu, motherboard, memory, graphics, etc) depending on the line - Dimension, Precision, Optiplex, etc. You may find a more powerful PSU from a sister system that will fit your needs if it comes down to non-standard bolt pattern and having to Macgyver something.

The 6770 is overkill for your needs and will use about 110 watts.
The next step up would be a 6850 and that too would run fine on the antec 430.

You are not gonna expand that small system enough to use the full power of a Antec 430
If you mean to use the new psu in another system later, then the Corsair 600 would be great.

Just out of curiosity, how much wattage will 16 GB of DDR 3 1330 RAM use?

I want to select the new power supply based on future additions and upgrades anticipated to the system in terms of more hard drives and a power hungry video card.

Thanks for your help and advice.
