Hello, I have a powerful desktop PC (called PC1) running Windows 10. It is directly connected to two 4K displays in a computer room. I also have a much less powerful Intel NUC (called PC2) which is connected to another two 4K displays. It is located in another room and I had Linux installed in it few years ago.

If I want to remote login from PC2 to PC1 and have the two displays connected to PC2 to display respectively the contents of the displays connected to PC1, what is the best application to use? Is it better to install Windows 11 or Linux on PC2?

RDP in general I don't think does multiple displays like a native connection. I should let you scroll to the other screen though as if it were displaying UHD on fhd.

As to which RDP program on Linux there's a few of them out there. But, you can just enable screensharing from the menu.

Thank you.

In regard to RDP, will using it open the possibility for those bad guys to hack into my computers?
