preferably shooters to play with my roommate. I know resistance 1 is pretty good so i'll get that one but i'm wondering about any others.
 
For shooters it's just Resistance and Rainbow Six Vegas. I don't know of any others that are co-op. MW2 has some specific missions that are co-op, which are a reflection of the campaign. Rainbow Six Vegas is fantastic though. The sequel was even better.

Black Ops will be split-screen online multiplayer.
 
Oh yeah almost forgot about Army of Two. Never played it, didn't hear great reviews. Kane and Lynch same deal.
 
army of two is awesome. If you can deal with the campyness of it, its a ton of fun. Upgrading the guns is pretty neat, and it can be a great game ifyou allow yourself to get into it. Not incredibly long, but I'd say my bud and I put a good two playthroughs into it, had a good time. 40th day is supposed to be even better I believe.
 
My friend and I had fun with Army of Two, even if it wasn't the best game in the world.

My other friend and I were about *this* close to digging out our own eyeballs with spoons when playing through Kane & Lynch 2. He was reviewing it for a site, so we had to get through it, but god... those were probably some of the worst gaming hours of my life.

Resistance 1 was alright, Rainbow Six is fun, Army of Two was also fun. Past that, I can't think of many else.
