I have an older Dell work computer with available AGP slot. I just upgraded my monitor to a 1920x1080 flat screen but the Dell onboard Intel "Extreme" graphics will not support that resolution. Can you recommend me an inexpensive AGP video card (preferably available from Amazon) that will handle that resolution? The monitor supports both VGA and DVI inputs.

Thanks for any input.

Anything post 2002 will support that resolution. I have a Radeon 9550 that runs a 1920x1080 monitor fine.

If its just a work computer, get the Cheapest thing you can really. Anything Radeon 9series or Geforce FX5series will work.

I was messing with a couple of old Dell Optiplex's of that era (Pentium 4). The on-board Intel graphics on one would do 1920x1200, the other would not. . . on identical machines. A bios update was the fix that sorted it - worth a try.

X800XL was working well for me at this resolution before the upgrade.
