Please recommend several good e6400 o/c coolers w. no 680i m/b removal needed, (push pin), to replace the stock e6400 cooler.

Machine will be travelling to many lan parties in rough travelling conditions, so weight of heatsink, and stress on m/b is a concern.

Hope to o/c the e6400 to 3.0 to 3.2 ish, in an evga 680i m/b.

Thanks!

If you do a good job when attaching a HSF it should not come off. And from the way you are talking you dont seem to care about the PC that much. Here's a hint take care of the machine, dont be too rough with it, and it wont give you many problems. Such and the HSF breaking your motherboard due to the fact the computer was just "plopped down", no one ever wants anything like that. My HSF recommendation would 1st be the Tuniq Tower, and then the Scythe Ninja.

Thank you. I read what you suggested, I thought about it, and I thank you for the Tuniq and Ninja suggestions.

I would still really appreciate some advice related to my needs and request.

Please suggest a push pin mounting e6400 cooler to replace the intel stock e6400 cooler.

The system is loved and cared for and talked to daily.

And she would love to be overclocked to about 3Ghz or more.

And she does like to travel by car and by pick-up truck.

And she occasionally enjoys going fast on the bumpy roads near her friends houses.

I cannot remove her motherboard.

Too heavy a heatsink seems to be asking for trouble when travelling.

Thanks for your thoughts!

I am reading now about the thermalright 90?

I am looking for advice now/knowledge/leads on:

Thermaltake CL-P0372
Thermaltake CL-P0370
Thermalright Ultra-90(P4LGA-775)

The scythe series of heatsinks have push pins so you dont need to pull the mobo.

tylerdustin, thank you! Is it really the same?!? AC wants $69.99 for the same sink that thermaltake only wants $27.99. I'm sold. Am buying the Thermaltake CL-P0370 tonight.
Many thanks!
