I've tried a couple and they're too weak. I want one that really moves air, I don't care about how noisy it is.

Wow, no takers eh? Just to show that I've at least tried to do some research on my own, I currently own the one offered by 1coolpc.com, and I also own one made by Antec (not sure if they make more than one). Neither of them move enough air to satisfy me. Any suggestions for alternatives?

I'll try to help, m8. I bought the Lian-Li PC-60 with plus cooling specifically because it has an excellent 120mm blower fan that hangs over the PCI-X slots. It pulls a lot of air. I know that you can buy the "plus" kit separately but I'm not sure how easy it would be to fix to your case. It doesn't go in a slot like slot fans, rather it attaches perpendicular to the pci slots so it covers them.

I have heard good things about these fans:

Dynatron DB1206SP System Exhaust Blower 43cfm

AOC FC-2000 Sleeve Bearing System Blower 42cfm

or you could try one of these:

xper slot blower has a long reach for longer cards like 7800s and still moves 40cfm

good luck, let us know how it works out

Thanks djspe. The AOC fan is the one I already had. I ordered the Dynatron its moves more air, but still not as much as I hoped. I'm going to try the xper slot blower, hopefully I won't be disappointed. I'm thinking maybe I have the blower intake too close to the video card's fan, plus ther right in line with eachother, so maybe they're fighting over the air between them and hence the poor air output from the blower?? This next fan should answer that question since it has a longer reach and will actually remove hot air from in front of the card's heat sink instead the card's fan.

I was pretty disappointed that the online specs say the Dynatron has an output of 43 cfm, because when I got to the fan it said 22 cfm right on the package :disgust:.

might as well buy an arctic cooling HSF for your video card (if you don't have a custom one already, or if you really want to lower case temp).....the AC HSF will exhaust hot air from the video card out of the case

Assuming a home set up, just open up the case & aim a desk top fan at the innards. That'll move some air.

I agree with Unkno. You'd be much better off picking up an Arctic Cooler as these coolers take the hot air from your video card, and blows it outside the case. They are also very easy to install.

If you are using stock cooling PCI slot blowers may do more harm than good. The reason is, stock graphics card heatsinks pull air towards the GPU but these slot blowers pull air away from the card.

I'm interested in this Arctic Cooler. Is it a specific product named as such or are there several fans of this type? If, so which one is best?

Thanks.

Edit: Are ya'll talking about this one?

Yep. The new rev is supposed to be a huge improvement from the old ones. You'll definately want one of those before getting a slot cooler. Good luck.
