I want to download all the video from my mini-DV Camcorder to hard disk and was wondering
if someone could recommend a site/article/reference for the best means of doing so and not
losing any quality. I'll prob get a DVD burner and archive them all there...

Get a firewire card and a video editing program. No quality will be lost if you capture via firwire. Going from Camcorder to computer via firewire is basically a digital file transfer. 100% lossless. But archiving on DVD is a bad idea. DVD is about 1/4 the data rate of MiniDV. DVD is fine for a finished product but keep your original DV footage on DV tape.
