Hi!

I want to build myself a new PC, but none of my local independent computer stores have reasonable prices on the individual pieces (Denver, CO area), so I decided to purchase all the items online and build it myself.

What ONE store do you recommend as an all-around reasonably priced store?

I see a lot of people mention: NEWEGG.COM.

If it matters, it will be a P4 systems on one of the new DDR motherboards (MSI Ultra) w/ Nvidia3 Ti200...no monitor needed (I already have one).

Thanks!

Mitch

NewEgg.com. I had to return two things, absolutely hassle-free!

I remember Buy.com and Computers4sure.com being good too, but I just started shopping at NewEgg...

** Edit: whoever you buy from, make sure to check www.ResellerRatings.com first! Don't buy before you do.

newegg.com and accessmicro.com are the only 2 sites I've bought from, not including Dell just for their deals.

those are the sites i'd use though.

I've had trouble with newegg before, but I too would recommend them for your every day computer shopping needs. The prices are good and shipping is quick and timely most of the time.
I also like MWave.com, but don't shop there much more, because they tend to be a little more expensive. I can't say that I've ever had trouble with MWave, by the way. Their customer service people are much more knowledgable.

Buy.com used to be pretty good to shop at while they had the $30 off $150, but since we all abused it, they no longer have those kinds of offers. They are still quite good though, but not if you're looking to save the most amount of money and not if you're looking to buy processors, motherboards and such.

I shopped with Dell too, because of their promotions and free shipping. Dell is a great place to buy monitors, for example.

Also, Dell is a solid company and is probably the only company from which I would buy a ready-built computer...well, Micron is probably the exception to that, but I'm not sure how good Micron is at this moment...they sure used to be very good.

i strongly recommend newegg. i've bought components from them to build 4 computers over the last year and every time has been a pleasure. their shipping price is fairly cheap and is very fast. their return policy is also very good. i returned a defective motherboard and they shipped a new one back to me the day they received my old one. great service.
