i see costco sells air compressors for something like $150 - $200. i forget the HP and gallon ratings. is that a good unit? i figure if it goes bad i can return it since its costco. what kind of HP and gallon numbers should i be looking for? what about air tools, is there a good brand or bad brands to avoid? this will be mostly for personal use, doing suspension work and other things on the car. thanks

Ingersoll-Rand is what i'd try to go with as far as tools. I'd try and get an IR compressor too, but they are pricey.

I hear oil-drives last much longer than oiless ones. Get a decent filter/regulator. Most home sompressor units come with a built-in regulator, so just get an inline filter; it will filter out dirt and oil and moisture helping to prolong the life of your tools.

oh, go for the most gallons you can fit. The more air supply the better, because its less that the compressor has to cycle.

i know nothing about air compressors that i don't understand most of what you just said. where can i read up and learn about air compressors?
