Hi,
I was looking to add a wireless router to my home network. So far I have narrowed it
down to either the Netgear WGT624 108 Mbps Wireless Firewall Router or the D-Link
DI-624 Xtreme G Wireless Router. Both are 802.11g and have the Super-G technology.
From what it seems, it looks like the Netgear has a better firewall. As far as performance
and range goes, I really haven't been able to find any good reviews to compare them.
I will be adding at least 2 ethernet bridges and 1 laptop to this wireless network.

If you are familiar with either of these routers, or any other good 802.11g routers out
there, please let me know what you recommend.

Many thanks!

Link to: 802.11a/b/g SOHO Routers & Access Points: Performance

The differences between the first set of graphs to the second represent the performance differences between 802.11b to 802.11g. It might give you a good idea about indoor's distance coverage. Your actual distance might be different. Indoor coverage depends heavily on the envioroment; graphs like this should be used to understand the relation in performance between Wireless hardware. .

Thanks for the link JackMDS.

I actually saw those graphs before, but I was hoping for some first-hand experiences with these products before I made my decision...

I'm running a 624. Worked right out of the box, no problems, great range. I'm able to go halfway down by street and still have signal.
