I have a question. If the moniters max resolution is only 1280x1100 or whatever, does that mean games can't run at 1600x1200?

I need more recommendations also

i was going to reccomend the KDS 17inch Xflat too. You can get it at office depot for about $120 as well. (fyi, you can get the kds 19 inch xflat for $199)

I've got the 19 inch version and have bought the 17s for my brother and my mother, and everyone's very happy with them.

you can't, but why would you want to? On a 17" monitor everything would be so tiny that you wouldnt be able to see anything.

my office depot sales paper stated that they had a samsung 19" flatscreen crt, with .22 dot pitch for 166 after mir. so slap a 25 off 100 coupon on top of that and get you a nice new monitor for cheap

A good friend of mine just bought that same one and the deal is good till Saturday. Pretty shure it was 2 $25.00 rebates that they print out at the store.. I had found user reviews at Newegg on it for him.

KDS xflat is your best deal for your price range, if you want higher res with good refresh rate, you're gonna be out of that price range pretty quick:).
