please recommend a laptop bag

ordered a dell 600m over the weekend. will be our first laptop. please recommend a bag/carrying case thats not too big but will protect the laptop.

Best laptop bag is anything that doesn't look like a laptop bag. Laptop bags are highly desirable to theives since they know what is inside is lightweight (easy to escape with) and valuable (big profit).

I had the 12" powersleeve for a 700m. It was a nice bag. I had the grey/white, but it appears black is the only color for larger sizes.

its shared b/t me and the wife. i have no need for it, neither does she really. bought it because of the 30% off coupon from dell. we're going on a trip to china soon, so we'll be bringing it along so i can dump my pictures onto it since i only have a 256mb memory stick for my camera.

Got a Samsonite laptop backpack at BestBuy this summer for maybe $30-$40. Great pack overall, plus you can toss your laptop in whenver it travels. Having toted a 600m and other laptops (one of the big desktop replacements included) internationally and otherwise in both this pack and in a Dell shoulder bag, it's any easy win for the backpack.

That's what I do, i have the 600m as well

I bought the sleeve from Gap... it was cheap and fits my laptop perfectly.

not sure if Gap sells them anymore

Get one of those laptop sleeves and put it in a backpack. It'll be way less conspicuous and it'll be protected.
