Hello everyone,
I am setting up 2 computers, one for XP and one for linux (haven't decided which distro yet). I plan on using one monitor for now and switching between them with a KVM switch when necessary. I am currently using a Logitech MX Wireless KB and mouse if that makes a difference. I also like to run high resolutions sometimes (up to 1280x1024 at 100hz). My budget is around $50 max and the cheaper the better. Can anyone suggest a relatively cheap KVM switch will work well for my needs?

Thanks,
Brian

I use an IOgear Miniview CS-102U to switch between my XP machine and my webserver. I have the MS Wireless desktop and everything works great. It is connected to a 17" gateway Flatpanel. I run 1280x1024 32bit all the time without any problems. The newer IOGear supports up to 2048 x 1536.
The only drawback is that it is USB based, which does not support my special keys on the keyboard - mail, play, pause, etc. which I never use anyway. A PS2 model is available and I think that would allow use of special keyboard keys. I got mine for $40.00 on fleabay.
