I want to get something that can simulate driving a car with a manual transmission. Hopefully compatible with BOTH Xbox 360 and PC. Maybe even PS3 if that is possible.

Is it realistic to get something descent for around $200 or less? I cant see myself spending more on something like this, but if there is a good reason to spend more maybe I can go up to $260 or so. (unlikely)

Thanks very much.

PS: Planning to play games like NFS, Forza 3, Dirt1/2, Blur, etc, etc.

If you want 360 compatibility it's going to be tough. There are some good Logitech options that work on PC and PS3 but for the 360 you're basically limited to Fischer Price-quality Madkatz crap, discontinued MS wheels which also aren't very good, and expensive Fanatec ones.

Fanatec's website says their GT2 wheel ($250) is compatible but is discontinued or out of stock. And it has paddle shifters; if you want a stick that's extra.

Personally I've never cared to get a racing wheel; the good products are too expensive and the cheap ones aren't worth it either.

Alright. Let's assume we are dealing only with the PC... or only with the Xbox?
