...they'd like to donate, I'd be eternally grateful. With the hike's date set for April 22nd, we are only about 10% toward our goal of raising $5000 for Diabetic research. :( We're working with several different media organizations right now to get the word out, but nothing is really catching on yet. Overall, we have secured about $5000 in gear donations; however, there is still a seemingly insurmountable cost of food waiting for us.

I would really appreciate any donations of hiking-type foods that anyone can make. I know this isn't typically the sort of post y'all see around here, but this is a community of sorts, and I feel confident that if people can help, they will. <crosses fingers> :)

Here are foods I would be eternally grateful for donations of:

Pop Tarts
Couscous
Pasta
Idahoans (flake-potatoes)
Peanut Butter
Power Bars

thanks in advance guys...

I'll send you some food, PM or email me where you'd like it shipped. BTW can you make any use of fruit leathers? (real ones, not the sugary fruit rollups).

I'll see if I can get my dad to buy a box or two of Powerbars or Pop-Tarts at Costco. :)
