Real quick question, why the hell am I called White on the STAR 9 test, yet it always says African American, Indian, Pacific Islander, Asian, etc. Yet never Caucasian? If they're going to call me white, then they need to call the African American's black, the indian's a light brown, the Pacific Islanders a tannish color and the Asian people yellow?

What is up with this? I am very ticked that the fact that somehow all us whites are never discriminated against, yet look at the facts people. Everyone get's a freakin' classy name except us. I mean, they even have all these different classes under Asian and Pacific Islander.. Oh my mother freakin' god.

You know what I did, I filled in EVERY freakin' circle. Viva la revolution. I want my classy Caucasian name, if everyone else gets one, why don't I? Racist bastards.

And their test has so many flaws it is NOT funny.. I remember this question from last year, how many days are in a week? 7, right? A business week is 5 days. A week is 7 days. Therefore, if you say something lasts from Monday to Friday, it lasts a business week, implying 5 days. Not a week, what happend to Saturday and Sunday? How stupid are these people.. And then there was another sentence, like "It slows my juices down so marvelous." Uhh, marvelous should be marvelously, dumbass. No wonder the test scores are dropping, the assbuckets who are creating the damn things don't know the answer to 2 + 2..

And don't say that a week is close to a business week, because then they can give a problem like 3 + 3 = a) 7 b) 3 c) 4 d) 8.. Well, 7 is closest to 6 (which is the answer to 3+3), so it must be the correct answer. Well duh, I guess I have to ignore the lines and only look in BETWEEN the lines..

Read an article today that there's a UC bigwig trying to keep racial classifications from even being distinguished on UC applications. Makes sense to me, then you are certain that there's no bias in accepting people. For the necessary demographics, they'd have you specify your race upon registering in the school, but the application itself wouldn't indicate.

Berkeley would oppose that to hell...how could you give underrepresented minorities an unfair advantage--and thus, make the university better resemble the country--if you didn't know everyone's race?

Bingo. And once again rational systems will be shot down because equal opportunity based on merit is unfair.

From now on, I'm not white. I'm a Teutonic-American. (Teutonic = Germanic. Covers German, Austrian, and Swiss nationalities.) Never mind that I'm 3 generations removed. I want my Teutonocentric classes at university and my Teutonocentric charter schools for my kids.

and read up on the history of whites a little bit on what we've done to other races. i'm pretty disgusted in our whole race in general...i mean we've opressed people practically everywhere: we kicked the indians out of america and stick them on little reservations, enslaved africans, etc...it just goes on and on. sure you say you had nothing to do it, but a lot of people still have a racist mindset. And after all white folks have done to other people, i really think you don't have a right to bitch about which circle you fill out on a stupid high school test.

I've got a question for yobarman. If we are striving to all be equal and for the color of your skin to not matter, should white people be looked down upon? Things change, I'm not saying that what we did to other races was moral or justified, but you can't keep falling back on the past. Just because our ancestors did something, should I always be looked down on because of something in the past? I didn't enslave anyone, didn't kick anyone off their land, etc.

And what about how women didn't used to do a lot of work outside the house. Should ALL men be responsible for old, stupid things our ancestors did? I personally think we should not. Your opinion might differ, but being responsible for something you didn't even do in the past, just what your race did in the past, why should I be discriminated against for something that happend when I wasn't even alive?

Yeah, but you also took over the planet...from a continent that covers probably 1% of it

I'd say the good your people did definitely outweighed the bad...and it's not like there wasn't slavery, taking over land, etc. among other races. It's just that they don't feel the need to apologize for it

the thing is you're not being discriminated because they put "white" on the test instead of the much more professional sounding "caucasian".

i agree that the tests shouldn't have little rac check boxes, and i think everything should be given out fairly, but only if everyone starts equally.

I say buck the racial information system and put anything but what you actually are. IMO it's govenment being racist to even ask such stupid questions.
