The morals and values of our founding fathers are quite questionable, they werent men who practiced what they preached.

You are the one that made the comment about Americas founding fathers. If you had actually posed a response to the letter instead of making the statement you did I might have actually responded in a different way.

Infact we are doing just what our founding fathers did.

as if our founding fathers would have the stomach to feed this freak three religiously proper meals
per day. and what american rights is this talibani-alqaeda savage referring to ? he was a foreigner
in the land he was captured in, fighting for the taliban-alqaeda axis. that two strikes right there.
the third is his pathetic maudlin appeals to the liberals at the bbc. ofcourse there are going to
air his emotional claptrap. they are highly trained in wasting valuable time.

You, the OP hasnt even commented on except for one, assinine one liner which makes it apparent, you are naive or don't know your american(or world) history.

However, for the letter. People captured by our military shouldnt have any rights under our constitution, but should be protected by internation treaties. The US is wrong on most of the cases, but there are quite a few they are right on.

I dont know the exect story behind this guy. All he gives are his alleged complaints. Where was he taken from?

You just don't seem to get it. Most Americans are worried about our citizens and our freedoms, not the rest of the worlds. Isn't that what the rest of the world wants?? We don't have any info on him to even think about commenting on his letter. It seems to me to be only one side of the story. I guess the only real comment I can make is "no comment at this time".

They aren't American citizens and don't get the same rights as us. THEY ARE PEOPLE TRYING TO KILL US, why do you have so much sympathy towards them? They'd kill you if they could.

Hmm, consider the source.

It is my opinion that this guy is not stupid. He sees his opportunity here to push blame for his arrest onto the US government - thereby covering the fact that he was a total piece of sh!t. It is also my opinion that he is simply hoping to be let free, so he can sue the US government, get rich, and send the money off to Jihad Joe somewhere in the Middle East - probably on a school bus packed with preschoolers.

Telling the truth, hard to say. Do I trust him, no.

Me, the OP has invited YOU, the reader to comment on it. If you dont want to, then dont. Your responses make it apparent that you cannot follow a simple request to "please read", let alone accept an invitation to comment on it.

If you read the letter, the author clearly asks the US Government to afford him any rights that the US constitution allows him and rights that he has under international law. Are you telling me the US constitution makes absolutely no provision for people captured by the military?

And if you read the frigging letter, you will know where he was taken from. This person was arrested in Pakistan, for reasons still unknown. He was NOT captured in the battlefield. He has NOT been charged.

What an idiotic reply. Who else is he to blame for his arrest in Pakistan? How exactly is he a piece of sh!t? The above is a bag of hypothetical nonsense and blabber which only a people with an IQ of 0 can make up.

Another person suffering cretinism. Please READ the letter.

He was NOT captured in the battlefield. He has NOT been charged. He was captured in Pakistan. He is a Pakistani born Brit. So how would you like to be arrested for two and a half years without knowing what exactly you've been charged for?
