Please read if you have a DLink dwl-650 with PCI bridge dwl-500

I have a D-Link dwl-500 cardbus pci bridge (ricoh chipset) on my 8KHA+. Every time I put the 650 in the adaptor my system freezes on the second beep, which becomes beeeeeeeeeeep and returns to normal as soon as I remove the card. I have tried every hardware and BIOS configuration I can. I am now begining to think the problem may be driver based because sometimes the card will beep twice upon insertion and things will be fine but the system freezes when I try to open the 802.11 configuration utility. Please Help!

Does the D-link do this in other systems? Give it a try and see if you have a hardware problem.

The same model does not do this to my other computers. The PC card itself does not either. I forgot to mention that my Linksys NIC works in the cardbus controller though, which furthers my suspision there is a driver conflict or something of the like. I don't know what to do, D-Link and Epox are not being very helpful, which could just be because there are no known problems with these cards.
I need to find an AnAndTech user with the same setup with or without the problem.
