Re-Stickied by popular demand.

When you post a question about your car, please post the following as well to help people make better recommendations and reduce the number of follow-up questions that we have to ask:

- Year
- Make
- Model
- Engine (if there are different engines available)
- Trim Level
- Modifications (if any)
- Mileage

By giving this information along with your question, we can tailor the response to your car and give you more accurate advice.

Thanks!

Zenmer I think we need to also put some sort of disclaimer in here so that users who provide DIY advice are not labile for any harm it may do. Considering a lot of people come in here with DIY questions.

haha, now mak a FAQ for people on how to post good 'WTB A NEW CAR' thread...I hate those ones where they just say 'I want a new car, what should I get' and that's it.

It would also be nice if, after a problem is fixed, people follow up and update their thread with the final diagnosis and solution. It may help others in the future when experiencing the same symptoms on the same type of car, especially if its a common issue with that particular year or model.

And if you have no idea what you are talking about, don't post a solution. The amount of bad advice and "my brothers friends cousin said..." is out of control.
