Might throw in a Lite-On Black 48X24X48X16 Combo Drive. Always found it nice to have a second optical drive in my box. The 48x is mentioned because its cheap and the Lite-on 52x gets noise complaints.

good... but chuck that video card out of the window and stomp on it till the card is so far into the earth you cannot see it anymore. Then get the new X800 by ATI.

hahaha like the x800 is anywhere near that price range. I'd consider dropping down to a 3000 or moving up to a 3400. It's been shown that the 3200 doesn't perform any better then the 3000. Might want to consider going for a 74 gig raptor insteadof 2 36s. That way you can upgrade to two 74s down the road. I'm not sure if it's still the case but the 74 gigs have a better seek time.

One thing, just be sure ur mobo is compatible with the ram. Some A64 motherboards didnt work well w/ some ram configurations (esp in 2 slots)

Your system will be crippled by that video card. CRIPPLED!! If you needed a video card right now then i would have gone for 9800XT or 5950 Ultra. If your a bit short on money then 5900XT or 9800PRO. Bt that 5700 is gonna KILL your system. Return it while you can.

How can you guys say wait for an X800!?!?!? Its not even out or reviewed yet... DUH!! If you wanna get a next gen card wait until offerings from ATI and Nvidia are out. The Nvidia is out but not available yet. And ATI is yet to be heard from. Just wait and take your time.

Well it's a good thing we won't be listning to you now isn't it? Besudes the 6800 series looks a lot better than the x800 series right now.

I'd drop the processor to a 3000 or even a 2800, and use the money for a nice new video card. Wait for reviews then decide what you want.

I've seen a pic of the X800 and a report on its specs which are completely accurate I believe. Its said to be at least twice as fast as the 9800pro series... I think it will kill the 6800.. And even if it loses by 5 or 10fps I would not care because I know ATI gives you a helluva lot better image quality and anti-aliasing.

Not to beat a dead horse, but everything looks good except the video card. It isn't aweful, but that cpu/mobo deserve better if you want your gaming rig to perform up to its potential.

I dunno where in the world you could have seen a bench on this card cause its not out yet. You CANNOT judge something by its specs and a picture. You have to wait until you see benchmarks and not spec. If specs decided whether or not a card would win than the nv3x gpus would have been winners not doubt.
Also you seem very biased towards ATI. Remain consistent... you said you think it will kill the 6800 and then go on to say by 5 or 10 fps!?!? That isn't killing.

Great system but the video card should be updated

If you can stretch the budget ATI 9800XT or wait for the next ATI cards soon to be released

It would be a shame to have such high specs only to be let down by one of the most important components.
