hey there
well i know everyone is making threads about this stuff so please don't flame me....i couldn't find a fantasy football thread to post mine in....so i am making a new one

I just drafted yesterday and i had the first pick in the draft....it was a serpintine draft...so you have the same position every other round

so for me it was the first pick in the first round and the 10th pick in the second round

here is the team

Active
Warner, Kurt QB STL

Henry, Travis RB BUF

Tomlinson, LaDainian RB SD

Johnson, Chad WR CIN

Porter, Jerry WR OAK

Shockey, Jeremy TE NYG

Vanderjagt, Mike K IND

Giants, DST

Reserves
Holcomb, Kelly QB CLE

Canidate, Trung RB WAS

McCardell, Keenan WR TB

Streets, Tai WR SF

Taylor, Travis WR BAL

Brown, Troy WR NE

Walls, Wesley TE GB

Lindell, Rian K BUF

well any thoughts would be appreciated, i know the WR's are not that great, i went for RB's the first 2 rounds, and then went for shockey in the 3rd....the WR's came next and then warner fell to me in the 7 or 8th round...i couldn't pass...

I definitely would've opted for a better QB pickup in an earlier round. Warner has looked strong in the preseason, but that doesn't mean anything. Also, the Rams have been noted as having the easiest schedule this year, so he may do some good numbers for you.

Tomlinson is a good pickup, obviously, but Travis Henry is questionable. If you got him with your second pick, surely there was better available. As for WR, decent, but not championship calibur IMO. Porter is great, should get some good looks. Johnson, on the other hand, I think will get lost in the crowd. I'm willing to bet there will be a QB war in Cincinnati sometime throughout the season. Kitna is decent, but hasn't shown too much IMO. Palmer needs experience, and they won't let him sit. Johnson will put up average numbers this year I think.

Shockey is a good pickup, rated by most only behind Gonzalez of KC. He can catch the ball, but only had 2 TD's last year. If he could get in the damn endzone, he will be great.

The Giants is a good defense, also a decent kicker to boot (pun intended 😛). All in all, a decent team. Chapionship calibur? Probably not quite.

well thank you for taking the time to write your thoughts

as for the QB i was torn between the remaining picks...there was trent green left, and also brett farve...other than that i didn't feel that great about the remaining picks like kerry collins....

the way i looked at it, they strengthened the offensive line, and marshal faulk is 100% healthy....so that is why I opted for Warner....my position kinda sucked because i had to wait 19 picks before i could pick again 🙁 so i had to watch all the big name WR's go in the second round and all i had left to work with was travis henry....after he was gone, the RB pool looked grim

also alot of people loaded up on WR's since we don't have to have any certain number of each position...so you can have 10 WR's, this was to help induce trading since it has literally non-existant in previous years...
